Oh my gosh, guys, I am soooo excited to tell you about this recipe. It’s ahhmazzing and it’s so easy peasy you won’t even believe me until you make it yourself. This is the best pasta sauce I’ve ever eaten and it’s made with three simple ingredients!
It is! I swear! It’s tomatoes butter, and that can only be a good thing, right? I seriously have never tasted anything this good before, there’s no acid and it’s creamy-ish. Lip smacking good is what it is 😉
I have eaten many versions of pasta sauce. I have eaten a full bodied with all the trimmings pasta sauce. I have never had the pleasure of this simple sauce before and I can’t get over how easy it was to make. I thought for sure it would be too bland. Not a chance!
Remember the commercial that said “Butter makes it better”? Well, it was right. There’s just enough butter in this recipe to make the sauce creamier without going all rose with cream. Do you know there’s only an ity bity 66 calories in this sauce and I like it more than the rose sauce. Did I say that???? In my most nasal Steve Urkel voice. Yep, I did say that.
All you need are these 4 ingredients, I know right, it’s crazy easy to make.
Canned tomatoes or fresh if you have the time to peel them.
I told you it’s easy 🙂
You don’t even chop the onion. Wow! Isn’t that awesome?
It’s all in one pan and it’s all super yummy! You can use any pasta you like, here I chose to use gluten-free penne (which I adore) and garnish with a smidgen of fresh parmesan cheese. Oh my it’s so good! Listen to me rambling on. Guys, just make it and you will come back and tell me it’s so amazing.
Another thing that I loved about this tomatoe sauce is that it actually glues itself right to the pasta. You won’t see this sauce sliding to the bottom of the bowl and I think that’s from the addition of the butter. Ok, enough. I hope you make it, you’re going to love it and come back and tell me you love it 🙂
