What’s better than reading a book? Reading a book, while eating a cookie with a cold glass of milk.
This isn’t a cupcake recipe but it’s going to be just as satisfying, so hang in there. As I am devouring my first book from my Spring Reading List, (The Girl on the Train), I had a huge craving for something sweet. Not wanting to give up too much time baking because that would mean I would have less time to read. Did I tell you how addicted I am to this new book?
As I had never read anything written by Paula Hawkins before, I wasn’t sure what to expect (except that it had amazing reviews – 5 stars), so I should have known right? Well, I didn’t take the reviews to heart, but let me tell you this is a book you will not want to miss out on.
Back to the cookies …
These are the three ingredients you’ll be needing for this recipe – peanut butter, sugar and an egg. Perfectly simple ingredients and super easy to make. For my friends that have peanut allergies, you can use a replacement butter (almond, wow butter or whatever you use).
The downside is there’s a lot of sugar (one cup) but to me it’s worth it when I have a craving for sweets. Plus, there’s only three ingredients, they are made at home (no artificials going in) and they only take ten minutes to bake. Bonus, bonus, bonus.
Pop those cookies into the oven, pour yourself a cold glass of milk and grab whatever book you’re reading. If you aren’t reading, what the heck! Here’s a list of great novels you can choose from. It’s time for a break.
What’s on your reading table today? Any special snacks you enjoy while you read? I’d love to hear about it!
